SHELTON, CT (March 21, 2022) – Attracting retailers from the Tri-State and Mid-Atlantic areas, the Philadelphia Gift Show that was held January 30 through February 2, 2022, showcased a selection of products from top-name brands and newcomers in every category. While retailers explored the show floor, they had the opportunity to browse hundreds of lines featuring holiday/seasonal products, decorative accessories, handmade/craft, Made in the USA, jewelry and so much more.

Award winners were selected at this year’s event – naming DryFoxCo as the show’s Best New Product winner and Keystone Steel Co. as the show’s Best Handmade Product.

“The Philadelphia Gift Show is the perfect opportunity to find locally sourced, handmade, and Made in the USA products”, said Show Director, April Holinek. “It is so important for buyers and exhibitors because it brings everyone together so they can connect and see products firsthand,”

Best new product award winner, DryFoxCo was created as a solo, woman-owned start-up, that values in-person events, where potential buyers can meet her in person to see the passion and creativity that goes into the products.

DryFoxCo’s owner and creator Samantha Peck, created the towels because she wanted to fill a gap in the travel gear industry. Peck stated, “I wanted to create a compact, quick-drying, sand-free towel that helped all adventurers travel smarter by packing lighter.”

Peck decided to exhibit at the Philadelphia Gift Show to gain exposure to coastal gift stores and other gift stores, she feels that winning Best New Product was great exposure at the show and reassured that the company is on the right path and is filling a need in the market.

Best handmade product winner, Keystone Steel Co. was created in 2017 by Leah Curry, who had a hunch that she could do something with steel cutting, she ordered a giant plasma table from across the country, and started Keystone Steel Co. As a male-dominated industry, Curry hopes that she can inspire girls to pursue their desired paths as she did herself.

In 2021, Curry wanted to expand to the wholesale side of the business, they decided to participate in the July 2021 Philadelphia Gift Show and had huge success, Curry stated, “The success we had at the July 2021 show was very encouraging. Participating in the January 2022 show was a no-brainer!”

In response to winning best handmade product, Curry said, “We are so honored to win the award! When you’re in the grind of running a business, winning an award like this feels like a pat on the back, which is so appreciated.”

The Philadelphia Gift Show will return January 29-February 1, 2023*, to the Greater Philadelphia Convention Center (*subject to change).
